Install the mode

Download

You need a World of Warcraft 1.12.1 (5875) client, which you get on your own. The launcher adds the mode to it, keeps it up to date and starts the game.

Windows

The launcher

Download the launcher (Windows)

  1. Download WoW-Roguelike.exe and open it. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click “More info” then “Run anyway”.
  2. On first launch, choose your WoW 1.12.1 client folder (the one containing WoW.exe). The launcher installs itself there and creates a “WoW Roguelike” shortcut on the desktop.
  3. From then on, always start the game with that shortcut: it downloads the updates, then the Play button starts the game.
Linux / Steam Deck

The script

Download jouer.sh
  1. Download jouer.sh and put it next to WoW.exe, then: chmod +x jouer.sh.
  2. Run ./jouer.sh (Wine required): it updates the mode then starts the game. With Lutris or Steam, set jouer.sh as the game executable.
Then

First steps

  1. Log in with your account, create a human or orc Recruit, and live through the battle of Stormwind.
  2. At the Caverns of Time, choose your path with the Master of Paths, then start a thread with the Keeper of Threads.
  3. In a group: the leader starts the thread for the whole group present.
